A gas cylinder explosion at a steel factory near Natanz, Iran, has left one person dead and seven others injured, according to Iranian media.
The incident occurred Monday afternoon at the Sharif Khalidabad Steel Complex in the Imamzadeh district, where a carbon dioxide tank reportedly exploded. The blast resulted in the death of one Afghan worker and injuries to seven others.
Emergency medical teams were quickly dispatched to the site, and the injured were transported to Fatemieh Hospital in Badroud for further treatment, Rasoul Gholamian, head of emergency services in Natanz County, told Tasnim News Agency.
Gholamian added that the exact cause of the explosion is still under investigation and that additional details will be announced once available. All victims have been identified as Afghan nationals.
He also stressed the importance of safety protocols in industrial facilities, calling on managers and workers to adhere to regulations and ensure proper safety training is in place.
