Morocco’s king pardons over 1,500 prisoners on Eid al-Fitr

Morocco's King Mohammed VI has granted clemency to 1,533 prisoners on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, according to the Justice Ministry.

The royal pardon, in line with Article 58 of the Constitution, is a tradition observed on national and religious occasions. Among those pardoned, 31 had been convicted of extremism and terrorism-related offenses.

They were granted clemency after renouncing extremist ideologies, revising their beliefs, and affirming their commitment to national principles.
