Kazakhstan President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev emphasized growing Turkic unity and Kazakhstan’s commitment to integration during a meeting with TurkPA parliamentary speakers in Astana.
He praised the strengthening of Turkic solidarity through the Assembly's joint efforts, stating that this unity enhances the global standing of the Turkic world.
Tokayev reaffirmed Kazakhstan’s support for TurkPA initiatives and underscored the country’s active role in deepening cooperation among Turkic-speaking nations. As one of the founding members of the Organization of Turkic States, Kazakhstan promotes economic, cultural, and humanitarian collaboration, Tokayev said, encouraging the bloc to use its full potential to meet shared goals.
Recalling Kazakhstan’s chairmanship of the organization last year under the theme TURKTIME, Tokayev highlighted nearly 100 integration-focused events, including the 5th World Nomad Games and the adoption of a common Turkic alphabet. He also mentioned strengthened cooperation in trade, energy, finance, and investment, and proposed holding the next summit in Turkistan following a productive informal meeting in Hungary.
