Tajikistan and the Asian Development Bank are strengthening their long-standing partnership through new initiatives in climate resilience and economic development.
President Emomali Rahmon met with ADB Vice-President Yingming Yang during his visit to Dushanbe for the upcoming International High-Level Conference on Glacier Preservation. Highlighting the ADB as a crucial development ally, Rahmon noted over $2.7 billion in funding across more than 190 projects that have bolstered Tajikistan’s socio-economic progress.
Discussions focused on countering climate-related economic challenges, expanding cooperation in key sectors like energy, infrastructure, healthcare, agriculture, and tourism, and increasing funding for job creation and vocational training.
