President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev warmly welcomed Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, recalling his own state visit to Budapest last year, during which several strategically important agreements were signed.
Tokayev described the 2024 visit as highly productive, noting it strengthened mutual understanding between the two nations and yielded practical agreements across multiple sectors.
Highlighting the importance of the upcoming informal summit of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), the Kazakh President reiterated Kazakhstan’s commitment to constructive dialogue across all priority areas of OTS activity.
Prime Minister Orban expressed gratitude for the hospitality and praised the positive momentum in Hungary-Kazakhstan relations. He noted that bilateral cooperation has grown dynamically in recent years, particularly in the economic sphere, and thanked Tokayev for his support in organizing the OTS summit.
During the meeting, the leaders reviewed progress on joint projects initiated during last year’s high-level talks, including those in energy, trade, and investment.
They also exchanged views on key issues on the international agenda, reinforcing their shared commitment to continued collaboration and regional stability.
