At the beginning of the meeting, the Turkish vice president conveyed the warm greetings and best wishes of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to the Uzbek leader.
The discussions focused on further expanding and deepening the comprehensive strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Türkiye, with particular emphasis on trade, economic cooperation, and investment.
Both sides expressed satisfaction with the growing intensity of high-level contacts and exchanges. They noted the increasing volume of bilateral trade and investment, the rising number of joint ventures, and the higher frequency of direct flights between the two countries.
The productive outcomes of the latest session of the Intergovernmental Commission, the business forum, and the exhibition held earlier in the day in Tashkent were highly praised.
The importance of coordinated efforts to further boost mutual trade - including by broadening the range of goods traded under the Preferential Trade Agreement - was emphasized.
Furthermore, the two parties also underscored the need to promote joint projects in innovation, energy, industry, pharmaceuticals, textiles, tourism, and education. They discussed forming a new portfolio of cooperative projects and launching a cultural and humanitarian exchange program.
Special attention was given to preparations for the agenda of the upcoming session of the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council, highlighting the shared commitment to advancing bilateral relations across all sectors.
