Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will visit Turkmenistan on 11–12 December to attend the International Peace and Security Forum in Ashgabat.
Türkiye’s communications director, Burhanettin Duran, said the forum will be held to mark the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality and the United Nations General Assembly’s designation of 2025 as the “International Year of Peace and Trust.”
Duran added that President Erdoğan will address the forum and hold bilateral talks on the sidelines with participating heads of state and government, including officials from the host country.
Russian President Vladimir Putin is also expected to travel for the event, where he is expected to hold several bilateral meetings, according to reports.
Both Moscow and Ashgabat have long-standing cooperation on energy, security and regional stability.
