Chinese Zigong is gearing up for the annual spring festival, set to start later this month. The event will, among other things, feature an exhibition depicting traditional cultural heritage elements.
Bright lanterns combining Chinese cultural elements and modern technology at the annual international show have been set up in Zigong, a city in southwest Sichuan Province in China, to welcome visitors for the upcoming Spring Festival.
Organizers who spoke at the press conference announced the 31st International Dinosaur Lantern Show will open on January 17th.
At the event, there will be 12 sets of extra-large lanterns, seven sets of large-scale lanterns, and 200 sets at the show, with cultural heritage elements and the latest lighting technologies included.
Cultural skills such as porcelain, Sichuan Opera, blow molding, paper cutting, and launch lanterns represent Chinese festive blessings.
The Spring Festival will be on January 29th this year, and 2025 is the Year of the Snake, according to the traditional Chinese zodiac.
