The Azerbaijani government has extended the exemption from customs duties on importing aviation fuel until December 31, 2025.
Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Asadov signed the relevant decision on March 3, which will come into effect in 30 days.
The government initially exempted aviation fuel imports from customs duties on December 30, 2022, with the exemption set to last until December 31, 2023. This decision was then extended for an additional year, through December 31, 2024.
In a separate resolution, the government also decided to extend the excise tax rate of 1 manat ($0.59) per tonne for imported TS-1 aviation fuel, as well as other types of aviation fuel, until December 31, 2025. This resolution will also enter into force in 30 days.
