Khamenei: “We will not submit to aggression”

Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei issued his first statement following Tehran’s retaliatory missile strike on the U.S. Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar.

In a message posted on "X", Khamenei said Iran did not start the current conflict but made clear that it would not tolerate being targeted by any side.

“We have harmed no one, and we will never accept aggression from anyone under any circumstances. We will not submit to any act of aggression,” he wrote.

The comments come amid heightened tensions after the U.S. bombed Iranian nuclear sites over the weekend. Iran responded by launching missiles toward the American military presence in the Gulf.

Khamenei’s remarks reflect Iran’s defiant stance as regional and international pressure mounts.
