Guterres calls for end to ocean plunder
UN Secretary-General António Guterres opened the Third United Nations Ocean Conference in Nice, calling on the world to stop plundering the oceans.

Earlier this month, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ismail Bagai underscored the importance of lifting US sanctions as a key factor for cooperation. Bagai also criticized recent efforts by the US Congress to impose additional sanctions, calling the moves contradictory.
Meanwhile, The Wall Street Journal reported that the Trump administration’s “maximum pressure” strategy on Iran has been put on hold. The focus is now shifting toward reviewing sanctions in the context of the nuclear negotiations.
