Kharkiv faced its most intense assault since the war began, as Russia launched a deadly overnight attack using drones, missiles, and guided bombs.
Russia carried out a large-scale overnight attack on Kharkiv, resulting in at least three deaths and 22 injuries, including an infant, according to city mayor Ihor Terekhov. The eastern Ukrainian city near the Russian border was targeted with drones, missiles, and aerial bombs in what officials described as the most intense assault since the full-scale conflict began.
The strikes caused damage to residential buildings, schools, and infrastructure. An industrial facility was reportedly hit by 40 drones, a missile, and four bombs. Ukraine’s military stated that a total of 206 drones were launched, with 87 being shot down and others either deflected or identified as simulators.
