Iran and Türkiye set sights on $30B in annual trade

Iran and Türkiye are aiming to boost their bilateral trade to $30 billion annually through stronger cooperation in transport, customs, and infrastructure.

Iran and Türkiye are working to expand their trade and transportation cooperation, with a goal of increasing their annual trade turnover to $30 billion. During a meeting in Tehran, Iran's Deputy Minister of Roads and Urban Development Reza Akbari emphasized the importance of removing obstacles and enhancing cargo and passenger infrastructure through bilateral agreements.

Türkiye's Deputy Minister of Trade Sezai Ucarmak also welcomed the initiative, stressing the need for technical meetings to resolve border terminal challenges. According to official data, Iran exported $189 million worth of goods to Türkiye and imported $538 million in the first month of the current Iranian year.
