Türkiye expressed deep sorrow Saturday over the devastating floods in Nigeria’s Niger State, which have claimed over 150 lives.
The Foreign Ministry released a statement saying, "We extend our condolences to the families of those who lost their lives and to the people of Nigeria."
Heavy rains that began late Wednesday caused massive flooding in the Mokwa region, displacing more than 3,000 people and destroying homes, roads, and bridges.
Ibrahim Hussaini, spokesperson for Niger State’s Emergency Management Agency, confirmed 151 deaths and widespread damage across affected communities.
