.S. President Donald Trump believes that China must come to an agreement with the United States regarding additional tariffs that are set to take effect on Wednesday, according to White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt.
Speaking at a news briefing on Tuesday, Leavitt stated, “The Chinese want to make a deal. They just don’t know how to do it.” She emphasized that Trump is committed to doing what is best for the American people but would be "incredibly gracious" if China decides to reach out to discuss an agreement.
