Israel Intercepts Missile from Yemen Amid Houthi Tensions

Israel shot down a missile from Yemen as clashes with Houthi militants escalate over Gaza aid and Red Sea attacks.

The Israeli military says it has intercepted a missile fired from Yemen, a day after shooting down two other projectiles launched by Houthi militants.

Sirens were triggered in Jerusalem and nearby West Bank towns after the missile was fired, but the military confirmed it was intercepted before entering Israeli territory.

Yemen's Houthi militants have not claimed responsibility for the latest missile launch.

The Houthis announced they have resumed attacks on Israeli ships passing through the Red Sea, accusing Israel of failing to meet a deadline to end its aid blockade on Gaza.

Israel's blockade, which includes restrictions on food and medical supplies, began on March 2 as a standoff over a ceasefire deal in Gaza escalated.
