Russian officials reported a large-scale drone attack on Moscow early Tuesday, stating that at least 91 drones targeted the capital. Authorities said at least two people were killed, 18 others were injured, and multiple airports were temporarily closed, disrupting air travel.
Russia’s defence ministry said its forces intercepted a total of 337 drones across several regions, including 126 over Kursk. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin described the attack as the largest of its kind on the capital and stated that air defences successfully repelled it.
The incident occurred as Ukrainian officials were preparing to meet a U.S. delegation in Saudi Arabia for discussions on potential peace talks.
