Two buses have collided in Barcelona today, Monday 3 March which has left 51 people injured, four of which are said to be critical.
The incident occurred at 3.00pm on la Avenida Diagonal, near Casa de les Punxes. According to local reports, one of the buses was full of Italian students who were visiting the Catalan capital. The other was carrying cruise ship passengers of several nationalities, including British, German, and Italian.

Catalan News has advised that of the four in critical condition, one was a minor who was boarding the bus. Shockingly, another was a pedestrian who was hit by one of the buses while walking in the area.
All four have been taken to the hospital to receive treatment for their injuries by the SEM health emergency units. There has been no further update on their condition at this time.
Local police, firefighter units and medical emergency groups were deployed to the scene of the horrific accident, although at present, details of exactly what caused it are still being investigated.
