On Sunday, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer unveiled a £1.6 billion ($2 billion) agreement enabling Ukraine to acquire 5,000 air defense missiles through export financing.
Concluding a security summit in London with other European leaders, Starmer emphasised that Europe must take primary responsibility for its own defense.
The summit took place just two days after U.S. support for Ukraine seemed increasingly uncertain following former President Donald Trump's criticism of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, accusing him of not showing sufficient gratitude for American assistance.
