Trump Dismisses Ukraine’s Concern Over U.S.-Russia Talks

U.S. President Donald Trump dismissed Ukraine’s concerns over being excluded from U.S.-Russia talks in Riyadh and said he would not oppose European peacekeepers in Ukraine.

Trump made the remarks at Mar-a-Lago after a U.S. delegation held discussions with Russia in Saudi Arabia about ending the Ukraine war. He said Ukraine should have entered negotiations earlier and accused former President Joe Biden of mishandling the conflict.

European leaders have considered deploying peacekeeping troops to Ukraine as part of a potential settlement. Trump said he had no objections to the idea, stating, “Having troops over there would be fine.”

Trump reiterated his confidence in ending the war, saying, “I think I have the power to end this war.” The meeting in Riyadh marks the latest U.S. effort to negotiate a resolution with Russia.
