Elon Musk rallied in support of Donald Trump at a campaign event in Butler, declaring Trump the only candidate who can preserve democracy.
Elon Musk, the wealthiest person in the U.S., showed his support for Donald Trump at a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.
During his appearance, Musk described the upcoming presidential election as critical, declaring Trump the only candidate capable of preserving democracy. Wearing a black cap emblazoned with Trump’s “Make America Great Again” slogan, he ominously warned that this could be the last election if Trump does not win.
Musk's participation marked the first time he joined one of Trump's rallies, reflecting their increasingly close alliance as the election nears. He has established a super PAC supporting Trump, which has been heavily investing in voter mobilization efforts.
Trump has even hinted at appointing Musk to lead a government efficiency commission if he returns to the White House.
At the rally, Musk championed Trump as a defender of free speech, accusing Democrats of trying to undermine various rights, including freedom of speech, the right to bear arms, and voting rights. He also criticized a California initiative aimed at banning voter ID requirements.
The rally took place at the same venue where an assassination attempt on Trump occurred in July, leaving one supporter dead and several others injured.
