Iran’s top security official, Ali Akbar Ahmadian, has arrived in Baku to bolster political and security ties with South Caucasus nations and discuss regional peace, with meetings planned with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
On Wednesday, Iran’s Supreme National Security Council Secretary has arrived in Baku, Azerbaijan, for “political and security talks”.
According to Iranian media reports, the visit of Ali Akbar Ahmadian is aimed at “strengthening security and political relations” with countries of the South Caucasus region as well as addressing the issue of peace in the region.
In Baku, the Iranian envoy will meet with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev. Following to Azerbaijan, he will visit Armenia where he will meet with Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
