U.S. President Donald Trump has warned Iran that the U.S. and Israel will strike again if Tehran rebuilds its nuclear or military capabilities.

U.S. President Donald Trump has issued a strong warning to Iran, saying Washington and Israel would respond with force if Tehran attempts to rebuild its nuclear or military capacity.

Speaking to reporters, Trump said the U.S. and Israel were “extremely victorious” in earlier strikes against Iran this year. He claimed any renewed effort by Iran to expand its nuclear programme or missile capabilities would be met with military action.

“Now I hear that Iran is trying to build up again, and if they are, we’re going to have to knock them down. We’ll knock the hell out of them,” Trump said.

U.S. media reports say Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has been raising alarms over Iran’s ballistic missile programme and may use talks with Trump to push for renewed strikes.

Tensions remain high in the Middle East amid longstanding disputes over Iran’s nuclear ambitions and regional military activity.
