King Charles III pays visit to Manchester's Jewish community

King Charles III visited the scene of Manchester synagogue attack on Monday where he met with and spoke to eye witnesses of the incident.

The King was received by Rabbi Daniel Walker from the synagogue and waved at members of the community who had come out to see him.

He said he wants to show support for the Jewish community following the attack. He had previously said in a statement released just after the incident that he and wife, Queen Camilla were "deeply affected" by what happened. 

He was shown around the building of the synagogue while pausing to speak to members of the Jewish community. 

Two people died in the attack which took place on Thursday 2nd October when suspect Jihad Al-Shamie carried out a car ramming and stabbing. 

Adrian Daulby and Melvin Cravitz were killed in the attack, while three people were injured while trying to stop the attacker. 

The attack occurred during worship on Yom Kippur, the holiest day in the Jewish religious calendar. British Counter terrorism Police described it as a terror incident.
