Ukraine’s air force reported that Russian drones had entered Polish airspace early on Wednesday, posing a potential threat to the south eastern city of Zamość.
“Drones in Poland, heading west, toward the city of Zamość!” the Ukrainian air force said on its official Telegram channel.
The warning comes amid heightened tensions along Ukraine’s borders and increased drone activity in the region, following Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022. Poland, a NATO member, shares a border with Ukraine and has repeatedly expressed concern over incursions and potential spillover from the conflict.
