Google Street View captures a photo of a man putting a large white sack in his trunk. The sack is alleged to be a corpse and may solve a murder case in Spain.
The Google app has been traveling all over the world, capturing street views. The man with the red car and a suspicious trunk happened to be on the route of Google Street View. The app captured the exact moment in the hamlet of Tajueco in October when the man was loading his trunk with an alleged corpse inside the bag. This image is considered to give the Spanish police a “decisive” clue in the disappearance of a Cuban man who was reported missing over a year ago. Two months later, police cited the image, and the capture of the car led to the arrest of two people.
The man was reported missing in the north-central Spanish municipality of Tajueco in November 2023 by a relative and had been under investigation ever since. The investigation soon focused on the missing man’s girlfriend and her ex-partner, with unspecified important clues found in their cars and homes. Police started tracking their car movements and came across the Street View image inadvertently captured by a Google car mapping the area.
Initially arrested on suspicion of kidnapping, the investigation took a darker turn when police discovered a human torso, believed to be that of the missing man, in a shallow grave at a local cemetery on December 11.
The Police did not provide any further details however the investigation continues, for now neither of the arrested has been brought to court.
