U.S. President Donald Trump has invited newly inaugurated Polish President Karol Nawrocki to the White House for an official working meeting on 3 September, Nawrocki’s chief of cabinet announced on Saturday.
Nawrocki, who took office on Wednesday, has repeatedly highlighted the value of strong Polish–U.S. ties. Backed by the nationalist Law and Justice party during his campaign, he met Trump in the Oval Office shortly before the May election and received the U.S. president’s endorsement.
In a post on X, chief of cabinet Pawel Szefernaker said the invitation was extended in an official congratulatory letter delivered on inauguration day.
