U.S. President Donald Trump has invited newly inaugurated Polish President Karol Nawrocki to the White House for an official working meeting on 3 September, Nawrocki’s chief of cabinet announced on Saturday.
Poland's newly elected president, Karol Nawrocki, said in his first international interview that Hungary is a key partner and he aims to strengthen cooperation through the Visegrad Group, an alliance of Poland, Hungary, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic.
Karol Nawrocki, a conservative historian and eurosceptic, has won Poland's presidency with 50.89% of the vote, promoting a nationalist platform, military aid to Ukraine, and a strongman image that resonated with right-wing voters.
Polish nationalist opposition candidate Karol Nawrocki won the second round of the country's presidential election with 50.89% of the votes, the electoral commission said early on Monday on its website.
