AnewZ and Agenzia di Stampa Italpress have signed a Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation to develop and strengthen ties in the media sector.
The agreement, signed in July 2025 by Italpress Director General Gaspare Giuseppe Borsellino and AnewZ Executive Director Rufat Hamzayev, sets a framework for collaboration based on equality, respect, and mutual support.
The signing ceremony was attended by the Italian Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Luca Di Gianfrancesco.
Under the memorandum, AnewZ and Italpress will work together in several areas:
Employee training and internships, including in digital and environmental journalism and fact-checking
Provision of technical resources for media production, subject to separate agreements
Reciprocal sharing of media content
Joint work on forums, roundtables, and networking events
The agreement provides that any disputes will be resolved through negotiation, and allows for amendments with mutual written consent.
The memorandum enters into force upon signing and is valid for one year, with automatic renewal unless either party gives written notice three months before expiry. Obligations made during the term of the agreement remain in force unless otherwise agreed.
The partnership highlights a shared commitment to advancing quality journalism and fostering international cooperation in the media industry.
