On 13 July, a plane crash near London’s Southend Airport resulted in the deaths of four people. Essex Police confirmed that all the deceased were foreign nationals.

The incident occurred shortly before 16:00 local time on Sunday. A 12-metre “Beech B200 Super King Air” aircraft crashed with an explosion shortly after take-off. Witnesses reported seeing the plane burst into flames and explode like a “fireball” immediately after leaving the runway.

Two pilots and two passengers on board lost their lives in the crash. The names of the deceased have not yet been released, and law enforcement agencies are continuing investigations to identify them.

The Civil Aviation Authority has imposed extensive air restrictions over the crash site. Following the incident, Southend Airport was closed, and all flights scheduled for 14 July were diverted to other airports.

The airport’s official website also states that all departures and arrivals on Monday were rerouted. Passengers are advised to check with their airlines for updates.

No further official information on the number of casualties has been released at this time.
