Elon Musk has emerged as a Republican mega donor after contributing $75 million to support Donald Trump’s campaign in just three months. The billionaire allocated this significant amount to America PAC, a pro-Trump political group he established, which aims to mobilize voters in swing states for the crucial November 5 election.
According to filings with the US Federal Election Commission, the group utilized about $72 million of Musk’s donation between July and September. During that time, Musk was the only donor to the organization.
His contributions to America PAC place him among the ranks of prominent Republican mega donors, alongside figures such as banking heir Timothy Mellon and casino billionaire Miriam Adelson. In his recent appearance with Trump, Musk painted a grim picture of the upcoming presidential election, claiming that the Republican nominee is the only candidate capable of “preserving democracy in America.”
America PAC focuses on encouraging individuals who support Trump but do not consistently vote to participate in this year’s presidential election. The group reported having around $4 million remaining as of the end of September.
