U.S. President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy are expected to discuss the sudden pause in American weapons shipments to Ukraine during a call on Friday,
The report, citing sources familiar with the matter, said Zelenskyy also plans to raise future arms purchases.
While the timing of the call may shift, the issue follows a Pentagon decision to pause shipments of critical military aid—due to low stockpiles—including a reduction in Patriot air defense missile deliveries.
In response, Kyiv summoned the acting U.S. envoy to stress that continued military support is essential to counter intensifying Russian attacks.
The White House has yet to comment on the planned conversation.
