Baku is set to host the upcoming D-8 Youth Forum in July, D-8 Secretary General Isiaka Abdulqadir Imam announced in a video address during a panel session at the ECO Youth Forum in Aghdam, Azerbaijan.
The session, titled 'Country Interventions: National Perspectives on Assessing the Contribution of National Youth Strategies to Sustainable Development,' focused on aligning youth strategies with broader development goals.
Imam expressed hope for strong support from Azerbaijan and other D-8 member states in advancing youth-focused programmes.
He also called for closer cooperation with international organisations, including the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO), to help unlock the potential of the younger generation.
