President Ilham Aliyev welcomed Uzbekistan’s Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade, Laziz Kudratov, in Baku, as the two countries look to deepen their strategic economic partnership.
President Ilham Aliyev noted that Kudratov’s visit offered a valuable opportunity to discuss key issues on the bilateral agenda.
Expressing satisfaction with the growing number of joint projects between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan, the president said these collaborations reflect the deep and friendly nature of ties between the two nations. Minister Kudratov conveyed greetings from Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and shared that preparations are underway for Mirziyoyev’s upcoming visit to Azerbaijan. He noted that the Uzbek leader has instructed his government to ensure the visit is rich in practical outcomes.
President Ilham Aliyev thanked Kudratov for the greetings and asked him to convey his own best wishes to President Mirziyoyev. Kudratov added that since President Ilham Aliyev’s state visit to Uzbekistan last year, the two countries have been actively working on new priority areas outlined by both presidents.
The meeting also highlighted satisfaction with the progress of economic and trade relations and included discussions on expanding industrial cooperation, transport and logistics ties, as well as launching new joint projects.
