The Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) has neutralized 36 anti-personnel mines, 23 anti-tank mines, and 377 unexploded ordnance during demining operations carried out between May 12 and 18 in the country’s liberated territories.
Azerbaijan Reports Weekly Mine Clearance Operations in Liberated Territories
The Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) has released its weekly report on demining operations conducted in territories liberated from occupation.
From May 12 to 18, ANAMA teams carried out mine and unexploded ordnance (UXO) clearance operations in the districts of Tartar, Aghdara, Kalbajar, Aghdam, Khojaly, Khankendi, Khojavend, Lachin, Shusha, Fuzuli, Gubadli, Jabrayil, and Zangilan.

1,291.8 hectares of land cleared of mines and UXOs
The agency stated that efforts to eliminate mine threats and ensure the safety of the territories are ongoing.
