Iran and Azerbaijan conduct joint military exercises in Karabakh

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and the Azerbaijani army have commenced joint military drills in Karabakh, highlighting regional security cooperation along their shared border.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and the Azerbaijani army have launched joint military exercises titled "Aras 2025" in Karabakh, according to the Iranian Tasnim news agency. 

General Vali Madani, deputy commander of the IRGC Ground Forces for operations and leader of the joint drills, emphasized that these exercises aim to bolster border security and address potential threats.

A meeting was also held between the exercise leaders and other high-ranking officials from both nations. During the meeting, a briefing was presented outlining the objectives, scenario, as well as details about the preparation process, safety protocols, and tasks to be carried out in various phases.

It should be noted that the "Aras-2025" joint exercise will continue in the territories liberated from occupation until May 21.
