Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan – Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmet Hajiyev described Azerbaijan-Iran relations as entering a new stage, emphasizing the positive impact of Iranian President Pezeshkian's visit to Azerbaijan. Speaking at the Tehran Dialogue Forum, Hajiyev expressed gratitude to Tehran for hosting the event and highlighted its significance in addressing regional and international issues.
Hajiyev noted that the Azerbaijani delegation actively engaged in discussions during the forum, participating in multilateral panels and bilateral meetings. He stressed the importance of advancing cooperation between Azerbaijan and Iran to strengthen ties further.
Addressing the ongoing peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan, Hajiyev remarked that the liberation of Azerbaijani territories has paved the way for peace and cooperation in the South Caucasus.
The forum, inaugurated with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and representatives from 53 countries, will host speeches by government officials, including ministers, think tank leaders, and international experts.
The Tehran Dialogue Forum is set to conclude on May 19.
