Kyrgyz and Azerbaijani cultural ministers signed a 2025–2026 roadmap to deepen bilateral cooperation during a meeting in Bishkek.
A bilateral meeting between the Minister of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic, Mirbek Mambetaliev, and the Minister of Culture of Azerbaijan, Adil Gabil oglu Karimli, was held on April 21 at the National History Museum of Kyrgyzstan.
According to the Kyrgyz Culture Ministry, the talks concluded with the signing of an official interdepartmental Plan of Practical Measures — a roadmap designed to foster cultural cooperation between the two countries in 2025–2026.
The agreement aims to promote new joint initiatives and strengthen long-term partnerships across various cultural domains.
During the discussions, both ministers underscored the shared historical and spiritual values uniting Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan, which they described as a strong foundation for enhancing cultural and humanitarian dialogue. Minister Mambetaliev also expressed appreciation to the Azerbaijani side for its hospitality during the 2024 Days of Culture of Kyrgyzstan in Azerbaijan, which he said played a vital role in deepening people-to-people ties.
