Azerbaijan and Venezuela have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral ties, following high-level talks on economic, political, and multilateral cooperation at the Antalya Diplomacy Forum.
Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and his Venezuelan counterpart Iván Gil Pinto met on Saturday during the Antalya Diplomacy Forum to explore avenues for expanding bilateral cooperation across a range of sectors.
The discussions focused on strengthening ties in the areas of economy, trade, energy security, and tourism. Both ministers also addressed broader collaboration through bilateral and multilateral platforms, reaffirming their commitment to political dialogue and shared interests in regional and international security matters.
Bayramov and Gil Pinto underscored the strong political foundation and mutual respect that characterise Azerbaijan-Venezuela relations. They emphasised the value of high-level visits and ongoing dialogue in fostering further cooperation.
Special attention was given to potential initiatives in science, education, and culture, including academic and professional exchange programmes aimed at enhancing people-to-people ties.
The ministers also highlighted the importance of multilateral cooperation and mutual support within global institutions such as the United Nations and the Non-Aligned Movement, where both countries actively engage.
The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to further develop strategic dialogue and deepen practical collaboration, reflecting the growing partnership between Azerbaijan and Venezuela on the international stage.
