Rovshan Najaf, President of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), held a meeting with Sunniya Durrani-Jamal, the Asian Development Bank’s (ADB) Country Director for Azerbaijan, to discuss ongoing and prospective opportunities for collaboration between SOCAR and ADB.
Their discussions focused on advancing joint initiatives aimed at expediting the shift toward renewable energy. Rovshan Najaf elaborated on SOCAR’s decarbonization strategies and initiatives, emphasizing their alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Both sides also explored shared interests, including the expansion of renewable energy projects and the reinforcement of carbon reduction efforts.
