Kazakhstan supplies over 100,000 tons of grain to Azerbaijan

Kazakhstan achieved record grain exports in December 2024, delivering 101,000 tons to Azerbaijan and boosting shipments across Central Asia.

In December 2024, Kazakhstan delivered 101,000 tons of grain to Azerbaijan, according to Kazakhstan Temir Zholy JSC.

December 2024 marked a record month for transporting new crop grain. The total grain transportation volume for the month reached 1.4 million tons, a 63% increase compared to December 2023. Domestic transportation rose by 23%, while exports surged by 78% to 1.1 million tons.

The company stated that grain supplies to Central Asian countries grew significantly, with Uzbekistan seeing a 47% rise, Tajikistan 58%, Kyrgyzstan 14%, and Turkmenistan 5%.
