Hungarian prime minister is in Türkiye for high level talks on regional security

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban is in Türkiye on Monday (8 December) for an official visit. The trip, at the invitation of the Turkish president, will see Orban attend the seventh meeting of the Türkiye-Hungary High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council.

He was welcomed at Istanbul Airport by Türkiye’s Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Abdulkadir Uraloğlu. He stated on his social media account, that the council meeting holds particular importance for reinforcing the strategic partnership between both countries.

Uraloğlu also added that discussions and agreements between Orban and President Recepp Tayib Erdogan are expected to contribute to regional stability and mutual prosperity.

Burhanettin Duran, Türkiye’s Communications Director, said the two sides will discuss all aspects of their strategic partnership and exchange views on regional and global issues.

A number of agreements are also expected to be signed during the visit to strengthen the contractual foundations of bilateral relations.
