Azerbaijan has dispatched its first humanitarian aid convoy to Syria, carrying approximately 200 tons of essential supplies. The convoy is set to travel through Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Turkey before reaching the city of Idlib, where the aid will be distributed to those in need.
The distribution process will be overseen by Turkey's Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD).

Azerbaijani Delegation Visits Syria
In a parallel effort to strengthen bilateral relations, an Azerbaijani delegation led by representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is currently on a visit to Syria. According to Aykhan Hajizadeh, Head of the Press Service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, the delegation has held meetings with Syrian officials, including a session with Syria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs.
"The delegation discussed areas of cooperation between our countries, including efforts related to rebuilding and reconstruction," Hajizadeh said.
Discussions also focused on the reopening of the Azerbaijani Embassy in Syria, which has been inactive since 2012. This marks an important step toward enhancing diplomatic ties and exploring new areas of collaboration between the two nations.
