The index opened the day at 10,854.85 points, gaining 132.22 points during trading. Its intraday low was 10,816.89, while the high reached 10,994.41.
The total market value of BIST 100 stood at around 10.2 trillion Turkish liras ($244.3 billion), with a daily trading volume of 148 billion liras ($3.54 billion).
Among the 99 stocks on the index, 80 advanced while 19 declined.
At 19:05 local time (16:05 GMT), gold traded at $4,004.50 per ounce and Brent crude oil at $64.2 per barrel.
