On Wednesday, Türkiye President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held an official meeting with Sultan Haitham bin Tarik in Muscat, the capital of Oman, marking the final stop of his three-day Gulf tour.
Following a formal welcoming ceremony at Al Alam Palace, Erdoğan and Sultan Haitham held a working session. The meeting was attended by senior Turkish officials, including Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar, Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek, Defence Minister Yaşar Güler, Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kaçır, Trade Minister Ömer Bolat, and Head of the National Intelligence Organisation İbrahim Kalın.
After the closed-door meeting, President Erdoğan presented the Sultan with Türkiye’s domestically produced electric car TOGG. The Sultan and Erdoğan inspected the vehicle in the palace courtyard, while Industry and Technology Minister Mehmet Fatih Kaçır briefed Sultan Haitham on its features.
Oman was the third and final stop on Erdoğan’s Gulf tour, following visits to Kuwait and Qatar.
