The inaugural Assembly of the Turkic World Insurance Union has officially begun today in Shusha, Azerbaijan.
According to AZERTAC’s regional correspondent, the assembly is organized by the Azerbaijan Insurers Association with strategic support from the Central Bank of Azerbaijan and participation from the Organization of Turkic States. This marks the first time insurers from the Turkic world have come together in such an extensive format.
The event gathers financial regulators and insurance associations from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Türkiye, Uzbekistan, and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
The agenda includes two panel discussions: “Regulatory Approaches in the Turkic World Insurance Industry” and “The Turkic World Insurance Union: Goals and Prospects.”
Additionally, the assembly will feature the signing of a joint document among insurers from the Turkic states.
