Azerbaijan has been handed the chairmanship of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation for the first half of 2025.
Azerbaijan has officially taken over the chairmanship of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) for the first half of 2025. Deputy Foreign Minister Yalchin Rafiyev represented Azerbaijan at the 49th Council of Ministers meeting, where several key decisions were made.
The meeting also recognized Azerbaijan’s contributions to the global climate agenda, particularly at COP29, highlighting the country’s progress in climate financing and carbon market agreements. The protocol from the meeting was adopted, marking an important step for Azerbaijan’s leadership in the region.
