Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan held a strategic meeting in Abu Dhabi.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev met with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Abu Dhabi to strengthen the growing strategic partnership between the two nations. The leaders praised their strong political, economic, and trade relations, emphasizing friendship and shared goals.

They recalled their reciprocal visits earlier this year, where both sides engaged in broad discussions on cooperation.

The meeting focused on expanding energy collaboration, particularly in renewables, with both Presidents commending ongoing projects involving SOCAR, ADNOC, and Masdar.

The leaders also acknowledged the UAE's high-level presence at the Economic Cooperation Organization Summit held in Khankendi. A significant outcome of the meeting was the signing of the 'Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement' between Azerbaijan and the UAE.

President Ilham Aliyev concluded the visit by presenting a special keepsake to President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
