Hamas has indicated its willingness to relinquish control of the Gaza Strip to the Palestinian National Authority (PNA), according to Sky News Arabia, which cites informed sources.
The group has set one condition for the transition: that its current employees either remain in their positions under the new administration or be granted retirement with guaranteed salaries.
Reports suggest that Hamas’s decision was influenced by considerable pressure from Egypt.
