King Salman bin Abdulaziz, the 90-year-old king of Saudi Arabia, is undergoing medical tests at a hospital in Riyadh, state media says.
The Saudi Press Agency (SPA) said the monarch was admitted on Friday for a series of examinations, but gave no further details about his condition or the nature of the tests.
The announcement comes amid continued international attention on the health of the ageing king, who has reigned since 2015.
According to SPA, King Salman last presided over a cabinet meeting on Tuesday, 13 January.
In 2024, King Salman was treated for lung inflammation and was reported to have recovered following a course of medical care.
